Twins Lesley and Louise Windham both love the SEAT Ibiza, and they both love going on holiday – so imagine their joy when they found out that SEAT was running a competition to win one of 14 Secret Escapes breaks, right at the time they were each looking to buy a car. Could they possibly both get a sensational holiday with the Ibizas of their dreams?
They headed to Pulman SEAT in Sunderland to find out…
Amazingly, it actually happened. While ordering matching Ibiza SC FR 1.2 TSI models on the same day in May, the 26-year-old twin sisters entered the competition by leaving their details on a postcard. “When we heard about the competition we took a ‘you’ve got to be in it to win it’ view,” said Louise.
It paid off. “Days later our dad picked up a voicemail message and blurted out to us “hold your breath…you’ve won a holiday!” We’re flying out October 11, the day after our birthday. The hotel looks fantastic and for both of us it is our first ever holiday in Spain,” added a delighted Louise.
The pair are jetting off to the historic city of Granada for a weekend break, where they’ll stay in the palatial surroundings of the four-star Hotel Palacio De Santa Paula.
The twins’ break is one of 14 holidays* given away over a two-week period in May, as part of a joint promotion with Secret Escapes, the exclusive members-only travel club. Other prizes have included breaks in Ibiza, Andalucia, Gran Canaria and the Costa Del Sol.
Lesley and Louise, who live in Cramlington and have never been further away from the North East than Cork in Ireland, are already driving around in their Ibizas – Lesley’s in Speed Blue and Louise’s in Lima Green.
Lesley said: “As soon as we saw them in the showroom we thought ‘Wow! What beautiful cars!’ They’re fun to drive with truly eye-catching styling and fabulous technology.
“We were already feeling on top of the world after buying our new Ibizas, but to hear we had won a holiday to Spain was the icing on the cake,” she added.
Lesley also reserved special praise for the staff at Pulman SEAT in Sunderland, and in particular SEAT Client Advisor Kevin McSkimmings: “Kevin and all the staff at Pulman SEAT were spot on,” she said.
