BEN and WOMAC benefit again

Following the Western Group’s AGM at Riverside, Mitsubishi HQ in Cirencester, the BEN and WOMAC charities are better off to the tune of £500 each, taking the WGMW charitable donations to more than £14,000 over the years.

Tony Lewis’ two-year term as chairman of the group came to an end and his place has been taken by Leigh Robinson, a Westie of five years standing. John Kendall stood down as vice chairman and Reg Bernard stepped into the breach as VC for 2012.

After many years of holding onto the purse strings, Andrew Morland handed over the role of treasurer to Ross Durkin. Ross is also part of a working group, charged with updating the group’s website. Glen Smale remains as secretary of the group for the next year.

The ever-popular Western Group Driving Day is set for 20 June next year, so be sure to put that date in your diaries.
