Ford driver’s Gary Formato, Shaun Duminy and Michael van Rooyen (Nando’s) will be going all out to challenge for top honours in their Ford Focus STs in the championship.

Formato is currently lying in 2nd position in the Class T title race. Just 33 points separates him from championship protagonist Graeme Nathan (VW) with three rounds remaining. With a potential 49 points up for grabs at Killarney, the team will be going into the event with the aim of collecting as many points as possible.

The Ford crew have been working non-stop to ensure an exciting and close fought battle takes place at Killarney.

“There’s no room for error now. We are as hungry as ever for this title and we’ll be going to the Cape with no holds barred. We dominated at Killarney earlier in the year and we are hoping to pick up where we left off”, said Formato

Teammate Shaun Duminy is eagerly anticipating this weekend’s event too. The Ford driver is looking forward to a strong outing following a difficult few events “As a team we will be on top of our game when the lights go green at the Killarney race. Michael van Rooyen has shown excellent pace in the last two outings, qualifying on pole position at Phakisa and Zwartkops, so we are expecting to post very quick times in Cape Town this weekend”, comments Duminy.

The action gets underway at Killarney on the morning of Saturday, 2nd October, 2010.

The Ford Racing Team would like to thank their sponsors and supporters for their continued support.
