Tata get’s tougher with its 207Di

Tata has introduced yet another workhorse to the working segment of the bakkie market – the Telcoline 207Di with the choice of a Chassis Cab or corrugated three-side drop side.

There are no frills or fuss with the 207Di … this pure; no non-sense workhorse exudes muscle with its tough exterior that is built to meet the rugged industry demands.

The 207Di has a solid, reliable 5-speed, 3.0 litre naturally aspirated motor with 48,5 kW @ 2 800rpm and 180Nm @ 1500 – 2000rpm and no turbo charger for the longevity of the motor!

The choice of a Chassis Cab or corrugated 3-side drop side load box broadens the options of the buyer that were previously out of bounds with the existing Telcoline. The enlarged tyre profile has also been raised to an even higher ground clearance of 210mm making this 4×2 better suited to farming conditions.

Boasting one of South Africa’s largest load box capacities at 2.4m (length) by 1.6m (width), a payload of 1.3 tons, power steering and a trustworthy light slip diff for stability and security off-road makes the 207Di the best and most affordable all-round working bakkie option.

With these features, the 207Di will be particularly appealing to farmers with its no-nonsense, long lasting diesel motor as well as its stronger loading bin. Builders will find its ease of drop-side loading and length of the load box particularly suited to the loading and transport of long pipes and other building materials and even paper transporters will find the strength and size of this load body their number one choice!

The standard Tata Telcoline 1 year / 100 000km factory warranty remains, including the gearbox and differential, as well as a 3 year Tata Roadside Assistance plan.

This new workhorse may not be the fastest in the stable – but you will certainly get your load there!
