Today 3 October 2013 I visited the Google Homepage in Germany to discover that they have a Google Doodle for the 3rd of October. My German is almost as good as my Spanish and without the help of Google I would not have known what the “Tag der Deutschen Einheit” Google Doodle was all about.

Tag der Deutschen Einheit

Only after using Google’s German to English translation I discovered that the 3rd of October 2013 celebrates the “Day of German Unity”. Being in the Automotive Industry I almost immediately liked the doodle with all the Cars part of it! We here at 3D Car Shows love cars, and we love Doodles, and Germany makes (Possibly, Likely) the best Cars in the world.

Having all these elements on one page, make us like the doodle even more!

So what’s today’s “Tag der Deutschen Einheit” doodle about?

According to Wikipedia the Day of German Unity is the national day of Germany, celebrated on 3 October as a public holiday.

It commemorates the anniversary of German reunification in 1990, when the goal of a unity of Germany that originated in the middle of the 19th century, was fulfilled. Therefore, the name addresses neither the re-union nor union, but the unity of Germany.

The Day of German Unity on 3 October has been a German national holiday since the reunification in 1990, when the German reunification was brought out in full force.

If you are in Germany happy “Tag der Deutschen Einheit – We love your cars, and may you have a wonderful day, full of blessings!
