Cole had a great start in his heat race, getting through the first corner in second and keeping pace with the front of the pack. With two laps to go in the 8 lap heat race, Seely was overtaken and finished third.

In the Main Event, Cole grabbed a big holeshot and led the entire pack for the first seven laps of the 20 lap race. He would eventually give way to the title contenders and finish the night sixth overall.

“That was amazing,” said Seely after the race. “Coming back on to the 450’s for the second time, that was more than I expected.”

As the laps clicked off, Seely continued to run the pace of the fastest racers in the world, and looked smooth doing it.

“It was kind of confusing,” said the talented young rider. “No one was putting a wheel in on me for the first three laps, and then I kinda thought I could win the thing. But once Dungey passed me, I kind of lost my composure a little bit. I just got a little tight. Just leading that long, and having Dungey slow me up like that, it kind of made everything come back to me.”

The series heads to the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis next weekend, and Cole will have another chance to show his talent in the premier supercross class. If you can’t make it to the race, you can catch all the action live on Speed TV.
