Tjiff & Tjaff, the flagship costume characters of DStv’s local children’s channel, Koowee, have blocked out 6-15 April to come and delight the younger generation at this year’s Rand Show.
Adored by children across the nation, Tjiff & Tjaff and their exclusive show, “Kuier met Tjiff & Tjaff”, join the Rand Show 2012’s exciting lineup of family-focused entertainment.
Based on the TV show, this live show sees Tjiff & Tjaff and new character, Mimi, off on an “uitstappie” or excursion, in search of fun. There’ll be heaps of audience participation, as the kids sing and dance along to many of Tjiff & Tjaff’s most popular songs. There is one Zulu and one Afrikaans show daily, at 10am and 3:30pm.
After each performance, Tjiff & Tjaff would love to meet the youngsters who’ve made them such a hit. Bring your camera along and get a souvenir shot well worth putting on your Facebook page.
And if after all that, you’ve still managed to miss them, Tjiff & Tjaff will also be taking a daily “uitstappie” around the showgrounds, when they join the Rand Show Parade at 1pm, so join the crowds lining the road and give them a wave as they pass by.
Tjiff & Tjaff aren’t the only ones you’ll not want to miss at the Rand Show 2012 though. With a host of other free entertainment, including bird and reptile shows, shows in the Big Top and circus workshops, fun and games at the Kids Theatre, the SANDF displays, and the new-and-exclusive Canadian high dive act, you’re going to have to plan your day carefully to pack everything in.
But that’s what you can expect from the Rand Show 2012 – an action-packed, entertaining, all-round great day out for the whole family.
