Sara Drummond-Bell has been promoted to the position of Senior Press Officer in the Kia Press Office from today – 1 June.
Sara has worked for Kia Motors (UK) Ltd for more than eight years – starting out in the marketing department where she was responsible for National Marketing before moving to the Product Team. She joined the Press Office in February 2010.
Sara was initially responsible for the Press Fleet but during the last two years her role has expanded to include Corporate Social Responsibility, Lifestyle and Business-to-Business communications and the planning and implementation of new product launches including the recent all-new cee’d UK Press Launch in Geneva.
In her new role Sara will take on greater planning and strategic responsibilities as well as developing wider opportunities for Kia across new media channels.
Stephen Kitson, Communications Director: “Sara has been a major asset in helping to build the brand’s general awareness amongst our media customers and has also played an important part in developing our contribution to society – in particular our commitment to Trees for Cities.
“As the Kia brand continues to grow it is vital we step up our strength in-depth to continue to provide the best possible service to all our audiences and this is just the first step in enhancing the Press & PR team. Saras promotion is well deserved and I am confident she can contribute a great deal more to the future of Kia in the UK,” he added.
Sara said: “I’m really looking forward to taking on this challenging role within the Press & PR team, the experience and knowledge that I have gained across the company in the last eight years will help greatly in my new position. With a great PR team here at Kia I’m positive that we can develop the Kia brand and the experience that our audience expects.”
