Renault Twizy 45 now accessible from the age of 14

The European Union recently introduced a new directive providing for the harmonization of driving licenses. As part of the new directive, France has adapted its regulation concerning light quadricycles.

Under the new legislation, 14-year-olds with BSR road safety certificates are authorized to drive light motorized quadricycles, previously reserved for individuals aged 16 and over.

Renault Twizy 45, a real upstart in the world of motorized quadricycles, stands as an alternative to scooters with levels of safety and comfort superior to those offered by two-wheelers. Twizy 45 is fit as standard with an airbag, double seatbelts, disc brakes and a protective cell. It also enables young people to gain an understanding of driving from a young age.

Some 15,000 Twizy are now on the road in Europe. The new legislation will allow younger people to acquire independent mobility in full safety.
