The launch of the trend-setting Renault Modus in South Africa in May 2005 created quite a stir in the new car market, as this innovative supermini completely redefined the compact MPV segment.

Boasting compact dimensions combined with best-in-class interior space, packaging and overall value, it gave an entirely new meaning to the concept of a compact MPV.

It’s no surprise that the Modus has been an unequivocal success on the local sales charts, quickly becoming a popular choice among a wide variety of buyers that appreciate its charismatic styling, versatility and roominess – all of which belies the compact exterior dimensions and superb manoeuvrability.

Renault South Africa has now upped the ante with the introduction of a Limited Edition model, badged the Modus Moi – an addition that is expected to be a roaring hit, and is set to continue the popularity achieved with the other very successful limited edition Renaults offered in recent years.

The Moi builds on the established Modus virtues, yet adds a generous measure of class, sassy style and defining individuality to the mix.

This attractive Limited Edition derivative is based on the popular Modus 1.4 Expression which, in its latest guise, benefits from attractive full-body colour-coded bumpers, giving this volume model a notably more sophisticated appearance.

However, the Modus Moi takes this chic personality one step further as the exterior is given an extra dash of prestige with the fitment of 15-inch alloy wheels featuring a stylish 10-spoke design.

Further appeal is guaranteed with a choice of five complementary and eye-catching exterior colours, comprising Flame Red, Café Gris (brown), black, silver and white.

Much of the Modus Moi individuality is reserved for the interior, though, and this fashionable model features luxurious grey leather trim for the seats and gear knob, with classy perforations and soft stitching adding to the unmistakably upmarket look and feel.

Emphasising its special status, the ‘Moi’ logo is attractively embroidered on the front interior door panels, adding a personalised touch to this highly appealing package.

In this case, exclusivity doesn’t come at a hefty premium. Despite all the additional equipment, the Modus Moi Limited Edition represents exceptional value for money.

It’s clearly a formula for success, and the Moi Limited Edition will undoubtedly build on the commendable sales performance already established by the Modus range in South Africa.
