Adult Learner Week is an annual national festival which celebrates all kinds of learning and in turn inspires people to discover how learning can change their lives, whatever age.   Each year BEN the automotive industry charity gives its staff the opportunity to further their knowledge and training.  In recognition of this Lynwood Care Centre is hosting an award ceremony on Thursday 14 June 2012 which will be honoured by the presence of The Mayor of Windsor & Maidenhead, Cllr Colin Rayner.

The staff working at Lynwood and Head Office have undertaken extensive training over the past year and has gained qualifications in a wide range of topics like Social Care and IT.

Jean Woolliscroft, BEN’s National Training Co-ordinator said, “BEN celebrates another successful year of learning and development across its care centres and Head Office by holding the 2012 BEN Training Awards in order to highlight individual achievements and recognise the adaptability and commitment of its staff in constantly striving to maintain high standards of quality care delivery to its residents, members and beneficiaries.”

The event will take place at 2pm on 14 June at Lynwood Care Centre, Sunninghill, Ascot SL5 0AJ.  The phone number for the care centre is 01344 620191.
