6th September 2022 – Local Isuzu and commercial vehicle dealership Otter Vale Motors has teamed up with the renowned athlete and rugby star Henry Slade to form a promising new partnership, seeing him receive an accessory-clad high-specification Isuzu D-Max V-Cross.
The award-winning Isuzu range-topper has been given to Slade, coming fully equipped with a multitude of optional accessories including alternative 20-inch black alloy wheels, all-terrain tyres, roof and grille-mounted Lazer lights, bonnet protector and grey wheel arch extensions which add to the aggressive exterior styling. Finishing off the vehicle, the sleek leather interior provides a heightened essence of luxury, standard in higher specification Isuzu D-Max pick-ups. The stylish workhorse is an exceptionally fitting way to begin the partnership as both Henry Slade and the Otter Vale family, like the Isuzu D-Max itself, share a strong agricultural pedigree.
Otter Vale Motors is an independent family-owned dealership specialising in Isuzu pickups and commercial vehicles, offering various services such as Part Exchanges, M.O.T’s, and Vehicle Maintenance. Located near Honiton in Devon, Otter Vale has expanded into two sites since beginning operations, owing the rapid business growth to both quality vehicles as well as fully specialised staff members, with teams of Isuzu Pick-up Professionals and technicians located on-site.
Henry Slade is an English professional rugby union player, playing for the England international team as well as the Exeter Chiefs in Premiership Rugby. Although his main position is as a centre, he has also been utilized as a fly-half and a full-back. Since his Premiership Rugby first team debut in 2012, Slade has appeared in almost 200 games, scoring over 30 tries in his Premiership career. In 2015, Slade was appointed into the England international team in which he has now accumulated 48 caps and scored a total of 7 tries. In 2020, Slade scored a try in the final round of the Six Nations Championship, helping England triumph over Italy and win the tournament.
Slade, who comes from an agricultural background, was delighted to receive the truck, commenting: “I’m really excited to be working with the team at Otter Vale Isuzu. I’ve never had a pick-up truck before, I’ve always been intrigued by them and have always wanted one.”
Otter Vale Partner, Kevin Spiller added; “We’re absolutely thrilled to be working with Henry! Discovering that his family is from an agricultural background too makes it even better, so from one farming family to another; we’re delighted to have him in an Isuzu pickup!”
