Today it is with great sadness that we report on the Valentine’s Day nightmare that took place in the early hours of February 14, 2013 at Oscar Pistorius home in Pretoria South Africa. According to media sources CNN and News24 with local media representatives on the scene in Pretoria, South Africa it is suspected that Oscar Pistorius have shot his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp dead on the early hours of Valentine’s Day.

It is suspected that Oscar Pistorius were alone at home on the morning of Valentine’s Day and that his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp came to surprise him for Valentine’s Day. According to news sources Oscar Pistorius were caught off guard and thought that someone was breaking into his house, and shot Reeva Steenkamp dead.

The story have made international headlines as a result of both Oscar Pistorius and Reeva Steenkamp’s international celebrity status. Reeva Steenkamp was for two years running in the top 100 FHM most beautiful woman in South Africa and have also been modeling in Tropica Advertisements and other local magazines. Since early Valentine’s Day Morning the internet have been buzzing about Oscar Pistorius and this Valentine’s Day tragedy involving the Olympic hero and his model girlfriend.

The Valentine’s Day tragedy have been trending in both Google+ and Twitter as people first shared the breaking news about Oscar Pistorius and Reeva Steenkamp. The first responses were of utter shock and soon after people started joking about it saying “That the defense have no legs to stand on” and from the looks of it the internet have divided into four groups with those supporting Oscar Pistorius, those saying that he is guilty, those joking about it and those taking serious offence from the jokes.

The Oscar Pistorius Valentine’s Day Nightmare could possibly turn out to be one of the most devastating cases for a International sporting hero and Olympics hero should he be found to have been involved in the murder of his girlfriend. This could even be more shocking than the Lance Armstrong drug scandal should this Hero and role model of a man be found guilty and one of the biggest tragedies and disappointments in the life of an Olympic Athlete. It will also shock people worldwide who believe in humanity, and in Oscar Pistorius.

Valentines Day 2013

All of this is of course speculation at the moment and Oscar Pistorius involvement should first be defended and decided in court before he is guilty. The state will also have a difficult case ahead of them with Oscar Pistorius international hero status, his disability and the fact that these things happen daily in South Africa, almost all house robberies in South Africa where people are at home when the robbers hit the house involves inhumane killings, abuse and torture of the victims, and could possibly be one of the major upsets in this Valentine’s Day Nightmare.

It is completely possible that the current crime rate in South Africa will be Oscars Pistorius alibi for shooting his girlfriend.

Currently everything is still speculation and both families on Oscar Pistorius and Reeva Steenkamp’s side have to deal with this Valentine’s Day tragedy and the sad unexpected death of Reeva Steenkamp.
