Oscar’s pace for Olympic qualification gets a C30 lift from Volvo

Oscar Pistorius is fast on the track, but to move around in life even quicker in his race against time to qualify for this year Olympic Games in China, he has received help from Volvo Car South Africa in the form of a Volvo C30.

Pistorius, South Africa’s “Blade Runner” who is the double amputee world record holder in the 100, 200 and 400 m races, is running against the clock in his bid to qualify as the first double amputee in history to compete against able-bodied Olympic athletes on the track.

As part of Volvo Car South Africa’s sponsorship of Pistorius, he will arrive at events with his Sapphire Black Volvo C30 2.0 to act as a brand ambassador for Volvo and to appear as a motivational speaker at Volvo dealer training events.

Volvo Car SA, together with millions of South Africans, wish Pistorius success in his training programme to reach the Olympic qualifying time in the 400 m sprint race.
