The Nicolaus Copernicus Google Doodle shows the basics of the Nicolaus Copernicus mathematics and astrophysics formula that the Earth is revolving around the sun, and not the sun that revolves around the earth. In early days it were believed that the earth was the center of the universe.

Interesting for me is that the Google Doodler who have created the doodle have chosen to place Google in the center of the universe, which maybe symbolic to the immense global influence the search engine have in the current universe and people's everyday activities.

The Google Doodle of Nicolaus Copernicus was created in an animation, and you can actually watch the earth and planets orbiting the sun.

Nicolaus Copernicus Personal Note

It is amazing the Nicolaus Copernicus could have formulates this theory in the Renaissance Period, just the other day I were thinking how difficult it must have been for people, to understand that the world is round and not flat, and if the world indeed was round, I could understand why people would think that they will fall of the earth should they find themselves at the bottom of the earth, I do understand the theory of gravity and the speed at which the earth orbits.

It is just amazing for me that guys like Nicolaus Copernicus discovered this without them having technology and information like Google...
