next greencarHaving integrated data from the new National Chargepoint Registry, Next Green Car’s Zap-Map continues to lead the way in providing the most comprehensive UK-wide map of charging points with over 2,250 charging points mapped.

The government funded National Chargepoint Registry is now live (currently showing around 300 points) with the data available to download.  Next Green Car has integrated this data into its own Zap-Map database giving an enhanced total of 2,252 points across 921 locations*.

Next Green Car will add any new points from the National Chargepoint Registry and other sources on a weekly basis to ensure Zap-Map continues to be the most accurate and up to date resource available.  Zap-Map checks the location details on each of the charging points to ensure it is as accurate as possible.

“With the Vauxhall Ampera arriving in showrooms today, and the imminent launch of the Plug-in Prius and other electric car models, having a comprehensive and simple to use map such as Zap-Map is a key enabler to overcome range anxiety”  says Melanie Shufflebotham from Next Green Car.

Next Green Car’s Zap-Map can be found on the electric cars microsite and the new plug-in hybrid cars microsite within Next Green Car.

Next Green Car’s Zap-Map is available to license by third parties, either as a fully integrated bespoke map or as a data feed to integrate onto an existing map.
