Renowned suspension brand, Bilstein, has been recognised by German magazine MotorKlassic for its commitment to the restoration and reconstruction of shock absorbers for classic cars.
Readers recently voted Bilstein “Best Brand” in the Suspension category of the MotorKlassik Awards 2015, giving additional recognition to the company’s Special Customer Requests (KSW) department, which is responsible for particularly difficult tasks such as making one-off damper sets for rare or exceptionally unusual vehicles, irrespective of their vintage. Bilstein pays the same homage to classics of all ages, both Oldtimers and as they are commonly known in Germany.
Over 20 000 readers voted in the survey and reached the same conclusion as they did in 2014 – that Bilstein is a leader in its field. In keeping with tradition, the awards event was held in a suitably classic and memorable setting: Castle Dyck near Monchengladbach in the north of Germany.
“We are thrilled to be recognised once again by the readers of MotorKlassik,” said South Africa’s Bilstein Development Officer, Ted Garstang. “They represent a knowledgeable and discerning community, and to be trusted by such a group is an honour indeed.”
