MAXUS CARRIERS INCLUDES SERVICE PLAN FOR ALL VEHICLES
- All new Maxus vehicles included
- Service plan for 5 years or 100 000 kilometres
- Customer only pays for “wear and tear”
All new Maxus vehicles are now covered by a new Service Plan for a period of 5 years or a distance of 100 000 kilometres.
Marc Spaull, Brand Manager at Maxus & Maxus Commercial South Africa, confirmed that the new Service Plan covers all vehicles sold after 1 September 2013.
“Customers will only pay for normal ‘wear and tear’ parts such as brake pads as opposed to all service related replacements parts and labour before,” said Spaull.
“The customer will save costs on all regular service parts, including the cam belt, labour, oil and lubrication. These are paid for in the Service Plan.”
The Service Plan covers the compulsory 5 000 kilometre service, which needs to be completed within the first 6 months from the purchase date. The 20 000 kilometre service, which has to be carried out within the first 12 months, is also included.
Services of vehicles thereafter are every 15 000 kilometres, or 12 months. All services are to be carried out by the official dealer network.
Customers who bought their Maxus vehicles before the cut-off date, may apply for the Service Plan at additional cost. “We will consider this on a case by case basis, provided the vehicles have a full service history at our national dealer network. The cost will be determined by the usage at the time of application,” confirmed Spaull.
Maxus vehicles, now manufactured in China after the British company was taken over in 2009 by the largest Chinese automaker, SAIC, have proven their reliability by being rated the most dependable carrier brand in the UK last year. Maxus vehicles had fewer breakdowns and less down time than its rivals.
The lowest repair rate and best cost performance offer companies using Maxus transportation and commuter vehicles the best value of all.
Locally Maxus is distributed and sold by Mandarin Motors, part of the Combined Motor Holdings (CMH) group, a leading South African motor retailer group listed on the JSE. Maxus currently has twelve dedicated Maxus dealers throughout South Africa.
The current Maxus range includes a luxury people carrier, an everyday people carrier, a logistics vehicle and a drop-side carrier priced from R299 900 to R399 900.
All the vehicles in the range are powered by the same four-cylinder turbo diesel engine of 2 499 cc driving the front wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. The engine delivers 100 kW of power at 3 800 rpm and 330 Nm of torque at 1 800 rpm. Average fuel consumption in the combined cycle (unladen) comes to 7,4 ℓ/100 km, while the vehicles boast 230 g of CO2 emissions per kilometre.
All Maxus vehicles are covered by a 5-year / 100 000 km warranty valid (whichever limit occurs first).
