Kia supports the 2010 Soweto Marathon

(SOUTH AFRICA) November 7, 2010 – The Soweto Marathon, also known as “The people’s marathon” was established over 19 years ago, and takes place every year in the heart of the Sowetan township, passing through well known streets like “Vilakazi Street” and Hector Peterson memorial place. The ultra marathon is measured on 42, 2 km and the half marathon on 10km, as well as a 10km walk.

KIA, together with Imperial Holdings was one of the official sponsors of the 2010 Soweto Marathon. Entrants from all over the country arrived early on Sunday morning to brace the cold. Approximately 15000 avid runners entered the race, and KIA was there to share the moment.
