Jeep® presents the final of the Bear Pro World Longboard Title 2011
Jeep is Presenting Sponsor of the final of the Bear Pro World Longboard Title 2011, that will take place in Levanto from 10th – 20th November. For the first time, thirty-two international surfing champions will contest the world title in Italy.
The world of surfing represents the materialization of Jeep's values and embodies the spirit of freedom that characterises each single model produced by the American brand. On November 10th, in conjunction with the start of the contest, the portal www.jeep-people.com will launch the new section, ‘The Search’: dedicated to the ambassadors of the 'J factor', it will host the exclusive interviews with the athletes that will be the stars of Levanto.
Jeep is riding the wave of the biggest event dedicated to longboard. The American brand is the Presenting Sponsor of the final contest of the Bear Pro World Longboard Title 2011 that will take place in Levanto from the 10th to 20th of November 2011. Thirty-two internationally renowned surfers will contest the prestigious world title in the first longboard surfing final to take place on Italian waters.
A fleet of Jeep vehicles will be at disposal of the athletes and the organisation during the event.
This new sponsorship is based on the common approach shared by Jeep and the world of surfing: the attitude to live out emotions fully and in the most authentic and independent way. As a matter of fact, those people who choose Jeep want the authenticity of a brand which was the first to conquer the outdoors whilst preserving its own personality. In the same way, those who decide to compete with the waves on a longboard choose the original discipline which led surfing to spread over America and Europe. A discipline that has remained true to itself since the 1950s.
Just as the surfer who rides the waves dominates the force of the ocean through his skill, in the same way, every Jeep model is capable of overcoming any obstacle thanks to technology which has been refined through 70 years of driving on the most hostile routes and in the most extreme conditions.
With this new initiative, Jeep further strengthens its relationship to the world of sports: the functionality and the versatility of every Jeep model satisfy the needs and the lifestyles of those who actively experience the outdoors.
From the 10th of November, exactly on the opening day of the world championships in Levanto, the new section ‘The Search’ will debut on the Jeep-people portal: the new section is a format dedicated to stories lived with passion, authenticity, adventure, uniqueness and freedom; it will host the stories of those who identify with the values of the Jeep brand and embody the 'J factor'.
Every day, and for the whole duration of the event in Levanto, ‘The Search’ will publish exclusive interviews with the champions of the Bear Pro World Longboard Title 2011. It will be through these interviews that the surfers will demonstrate that they share the Jeep values and most of all that they possess the 'J factor': that unique quality which makes them representative of the lifestyle of the American brand.
