Turin, July 7, 2022 – The 2022-2023 football pre-season began on July 1st and marked ten years of partnership between Jeep® and Juventus. With the Jeep logo first adorning the bianconeri kit during the 2012-2013 season, this sponsorship was founded and thrives on shared values like authenticity and passion. Plus, over the past ten years, the club has lifted trophies and written another successful chapter in the history of Italian football.

In ten years, 29 trophies, nine SUVs and innovative technologies
Over the last ten years, the men’s squad has won 8 Serie A titles, 5 Coppa Italia and 5 Supercoppa Italia; and, only five years since its founding, the women’s team has won 5 titles, 2 Coppa Italia and 3 Supercoppa. Meanwhile, the Under-23s has won 1 Lega Pro Coppa Italia.

During the same timeframe, the Jeep brand has launched nine new models onto the market, starting in 2011 with the Compass. In 2014, the Melfi Italian factory became the home of the Renegade—the first small SUV Jeep and the brand’s first vehicle designed in the USA, built in Italy, and sold in more than 100 countries worldwide. Furthermore, 2014 also saw the introduction of the Cherokee. In 2017, the launch of the Compass redefined standards in the compact SUV category. Then, in 2018, the Jeep Wrangler amazed the public with its totally new look, while remaining loyal to itself and its legendary off-road capability and advanced technological solutions. In 2020, Jeep took its first steps in its electrification process thanks to the 4xe Plug-In Hybrid technology which was introduced on the Renegade and Compass to provide a more enjoyable, efficient, sustainable and safer 4×4. Later, in 2021, Jeep released three new vehicles: the New Compass, the iconic New Wrangler in a 4xe version, and the unstoppable Gladiator pick-up. The Compass was introduced with a striking and sophisticated look and included important new features which took it to another level in terms of design, safety, technology, and functionality; meanwhile 4xe technology made its debut on the Wrangler to provide a completely silent and zero-emissions off-road experience. Plus, alongside 4xe technology, the brand is proceeding quickly with its electrification process. In 2022, e-hybrid technology debuted on the Renegade and Compass, and next year will see the arrival of the 100% electric compact B-UV SUV and the Grand Cherokee 4xe.

Success on every terrain: the 4xe SUVs are the leaders in Italy in the LEV segment
Over these ten years, Juventus has confidently stayed the course on its path towards victory; meanwhile, Jeep has continued to open new roads, enhancing the proverbial off-road capability of its SUVs and reaching unforgettable success stories. Today, Jeep’s path is leading it towards electrification in its pursuit of “zero-emission freedom”.

The most glaring example of this can be seen in its sustainable 4xe plug-in technology which is capable of guaranteeing extraordinary on-road and off-road performance. “4xe” has already become a brand within the Jeep brand and synonymous with providing the most comfort and security in any environmental condition, zero emissions, and an improved version of Jeep’s world-famous off-road capability. It’s no coincidence that, in expectation of the Grand Cherokee fleet, the Renegade, Compass and Wrangler 4xe have made the Jeep brand the undisputed leader in Italy in the LEV segment (full-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles) in the first half of 2022, following its leadership throughout the whole of 2021. More specifically, the Compass is the highest-selling LEV model on any market and segment; the Renegade 4xe is number one among B-SUVs and all BEV and PHEV models and second only to the Compass in overall sales. The Wrangler 4xe has ranked third since the beginning of the year. If we look at the European market, according to last June’s data, the 4xe models account for 42% of Jeep’s total sales. Moreover, in the European LEV segment, the brand has reached a market share of 2.1%, which is more than double the total market share (0.9% in the full year according to data from June 2022), while the percentage stands at 18% in Italy.

The path towards electrification
Alongside the success of the 4xe models, the brand’s strategy towards the development of more sustainable mobility continued with the launch of the new e-Hybrid version of the Jeep Compass and Renegade. With the introduction of the e-Hybrid models, Jeep is offering customers a further chance to get to know its electrified lineup. Plus, as stated by CEO Carlos Tavares during the presentation of Stellantis’ strategic plan “Dare Forward 2030”, Jeep will launch a new 100% electric B-UV compact SUV at the beginning of next year.

The iconic black lettering of Jeep’s logo on Juventus 2022-2023 kit features lightning bolts as a way to highlight the brand’s path towards electrification. The celebration of the first ten years of collaboration can also be seen on Jeep and Juventus’ official social media channels (as can be seen at this link), where fans can share emotions, passion, and a sense of belonging to the two legends.
