Hino East Rand took top honours as the Hino Dealer of the Year at an award ceremony held in conjunction with other Toyota South Africa Motor divisions Toyota  and Lexus at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

Hino East Rand was recognised as the top performing Hino dealership in South Africa and rewarded for their hard work and commitment to their customers. The Dealer Principal, Frans Cloete accepted the award on behalf of the dealership.

Dr Casper Kruger, Vice President: Hino commended Frans and his team on for their award.

“East Rand Hino excelled in all four key metrics namely sales, customer service, business management and customer experience. This all-round achievement outperformed the competition and pushed this dealership to the top. Under Frans’ leadership, the team has illustrated cohesion and understanding of customers’ needs and has proved that they are the team to beat.”

Hino East Rand achieved 113% of their sales target and purchased more than R 32 million in part proving that their wok formula is working.

“With a customer experience score of 96.4%, it is evident that Frans and his team ensure that the customers’ needs are understood and they receive the right vehicle, parts and service at the right time,” adds Dr Kruger.

The Hino East Rand team boasts industry leading performance which is no wonder then that this is the third time since 2000 that they are awarded this honour.

Hino South Africa also recognised Hino Lydenburg and Dealer Principal, Fanie Erasmus Jnr for their performance by awarding it the Vice President’s Award for Hino Dealer of the Year as Runner-up. Hino Lydenburg, who is now fully operational in its new state-of-the-art dealership, was a past recipient of the Dealer of the Year award.

Dr Kruger further singled out Hino Parow and Dealer Principal Wouter Nel for the Hino Customer Service Experience Award. In recognising this dealership Dr Kruger emphasised the importance of customer service in overall customer satisfaction, commending Hino Parow for outperforming its peers.

“This winning dealer performed consistently well in creating customer smiles and magic moments in sales, parts and service with an average Customer Experience score of 98.4%. They topped the very important service category with a near perfect score of 99.3%, were second in the sales category with 97.5% and third in the parts category with 98.4%, a truly significant performance,” concludes Dr Kruger.
