Goodyear’s Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 tyre is still adding to its long list of global accolades. It was most recently named ‘Best Tyre’ in the 2012 Auto Express Product Awards (UK), and beat eight competitors for the title of ‘Tyre of the Year 2012’ in the touring car category by leading Spanish tyre industry magazine Neumáticos y Mecánica Rápida.

Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 is designed as the answer to the most important needs of consumers of Ultra High Performance tyres. The Auto Express accolade comes off the back of German car magazine Auto Bild’s 2012 Max Performance Tyre Test, which rated the Goodyear tops after a series of intensive competitor tests. “A tyre without fault”, the publication declared, after commending Eagle F1A2 for its excellent wet handling and one of the shortest braking distances in the dry.

“The string of spectacular awards, rave reviews and independent test result earned around the world by the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 tyres is successful confirmation of Goodyear’s global mission:  to deliver the highest quality products to consumers,” said Lize Hayward, Group Brand Communications Manager.

The brilliant tyre has also built an impressive list of original equipment fitment wins since its launch, which include high performance vehicles such as the Mercedes-Benz CLS, Audi A4 and Porsche 911 Carrera 2.
