Next Thursday (28 June) the third annual Goodwood Moving Motor Show (MMS), in association with Auto Trader, will get underway with 20 new car manufacturers revealing their latest models, with many being shown for the very first time in public.  Many Moving Motor Show visitors will also get the opportunity to drive these new models up the celebrated Festival of Speed hillclimb, strictly at the invitation of the participating manufacturers.

The MMS cars will undertake hundreds of runs on a special three mile evaluation route that includes the 1.16-mile hillclimb, following in the wheel tracks of many celebrated racing drivers, including Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and Sir Stirling Moss.

This ‘dynamic’ Motor Show is held within the grounds of Goodwood Park as a significant addition to the annual Festival of Speed, and has quickly established itself as the leading annual British Motor Show.  It has become an important part of the Festival of Speed, giving new car buyers the unique opportunity to enjoy an exclusive motor show preview day.

The Festival of Speed itself is Britain’s largest annual automotive and motor sport exhibition, attracting in excess of 180,000 visitors, and MMS visitors will be able to enjoy much of what the Festival has to offer, including live action in the GAS (Goodwood Action Sports) area and the Forest Rally Stage, as well as wondering through the paddocks to see the latest Formula 1 cars, supercar and historic competition cars and motorcycles.  Other Festival attractions such as the Cartier ‘Style et Luxe’ concours d’elegance – uniquely devoted to Royal vehicles this year to mark Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee – as well the FoS-TECH future technology domes, manufacturer exhibition displays, Junior FoS and the live activity field activities will also all be accessible to MMS visitors.

The 20 manufacturers participating in this year’s MMS include the British launch of the Dacia brand with its new Duster model, as well as Ferrari, Ford, Abarth, Porsche, Honda, Rolls-Royce, Volvo, Audi, Mazda, SEAT, Citroen, BMW, Chevrolet, Jaguar, Skoda, Toyota, Peugeot, Mercedes-Benz and Renault.

A wealth of new models are due to make their UK dynamic debut at the MMS, including the Toyota GT86, Jaguar XF SportsBreak, Volvo V40, Skoda CitiGo, Peugeot 208, SEAT Mii, Mazda CX-5 and Chevrolet Cruze Estate and Camaro 45th Anniversary edition models.

All visitors to the 2012 Moving Motor Show will also be able to gain free access to the expanded Goodwood Aviation Exhibition, re-located this year conveniently close to all of the other event attractions with Goodwood Park.
