At the 2013 Washington DC Auto Show, the General Motors Foundation gave a $1 million grant to Habitat for Humanity International to help with neighborhood revitalization efforts in twelve U.S. cities. 

From financial support for new construction, home repair and rehabilitation, weatherization efforts and more, the GM Foundation's support of Habitat for Humanity means that work will be underway in neighborhoods in Arlington, Texas; Atlanta; Austin, Texas; Baltimore; Chicago; Denver; Detroit; Lansing, Michigan; Los Angeles; Nashville; New Orleans; and Phoenix.

Also at the Auto Show, Chevrolet donated a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe to the Union Beach, New Jersey Emergency Medical Services Station to aid first responders from the Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
