Gauteng Johannesburg greatest day out is fast approaching

Is the back-to-work/back-to-school grind getting you down? Swamped with homework, fetching and carrying kids, answering phones, returning emails, surviving the eight to five? Good thing there’s something great to look forward to this April. The Rand Show 2012.

    Airshow Rand Show

This Easter holiday, be sure you pencil in a date from Friday, 6 April to Monday 15 April 2012, for an affordable, fun-filled day out with your family.

There’s so much to look forward to this year. The SANDF is back, bringing an impressive lineup of vehicles, aircraft and military displays. Catch the free circus performances, and the daring feats of Canadian high-dive group, the Flying Fools.

For the first time this year, you can meet the reptiles and raptors of the Rand Show’s exclusive Animal Kingdom display. For the brave, there are the puff adders, crocs, boomslangs, mambas and cobras presented by Snake Bite Jones, while pelicans, owls, parrots, toucans and hawks take centre-stage in the Flying Bird Show.

    Rand Show Chefs South Africa

The ever-popular and skilled chefs of the SA Chefs Theatre are back, adding a touch of culinary flavour to the Rand Show 2012 lineup.

To this add a farmyard for kids, daily Easter parades, trips on the monorail, adrenalin-fuelled thrills in the fun fair with the Looping Star, and the Kids Theatre, featuring Ronald McDonald’s magical, entertaining show, circus workshops and puppet shows, with more surprises yet to be announced.
