“This season has been exceptional for us, with both cars and drivers producing some fantastic results,” says Dan Mitchell, Fortec British F3 Manager. “Thanks to the technical freedom Formula 3 provides, it has developed a strong reputation for producing great drivers. As with any motorsport series, it is exceptionally competitive and the advantages are in the incremental changes and details. Millers Oils’ expertise and commitment to R&D helps provide the competitive edge each team is looking for.”

Millers Oils has worked extensively with Fortec on the Mercedes engined F3 cars and the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 car, creating a valuable partnership that benefits both companies.  The lubrication analysis Millers Oils conducts helps Fortec monitor the performance and durability of the vehicles’ powertrain and drivetrain, and will help guide the company’s motorsport lubricant development programme.

The Fortec Formula 3 cars run the Nanodrive® gearbox lubricants, CV joint grease and Extra Cool products. The nanotechnology utilised in the Nanodrive® oils reduces friction, without compromising film strength, in turn helping reduce parasitic power loses, fuel consumption and wear while improving power and torque. This reduction in friction helps race teams retain durability in an environment that can be exceptionally harsh on components, while at the same time providing them with a competitive edge.
