Nico Rosberg kicked-off a perfect start to the new F1 season. The pilot of the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS team convincingly won the first race of 2014 season, the Australian Grand Prix, despite the fact that the 2014 Formula 1 has major technical regulatory changes in comparison to previous years. Rosberg celebrated this, the fourth Grand Prix victory of his career, on March 16th. The pole position from Lewis Hamilton after a thrilling qualifying session, also gives hope for an exciting F1 season.

The new items in the Motorsports Collection which have been designed together with sportswear specialist PUMA, come in black and silver grey with highlights in PETRONAS-green. The black Caps (€ 29.901) come in a choice of three variants: all sport the embroidered MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS on the right-hand side, while the Team Cap features PUMA stitched on the left. The Drivers’ caps bear the driver’s name on the left and the embroidered signature of Lewis Hamilton or Nico Rosberg on the bill.
The Drivers’ T-shirts for men (sizes S to XXL) in cotton come in grey (€ 49.90) with contrasting black sleeves. The driver’s name is displayed in a yellow blend on the chest. The Team polo shirt is available for women (sizes XS to XL) and men (S-XXL), and comes in silver grey with grey and PETRONAS-green details. The T-shirts are produced in cotton piqué and feature various team and sponsors’ logos. The cotton Team T-shirt for kids comes in grey also with various team and sponsors’ logos. Lap times and speeds can be assessed with precision using the Heritage Chronograph for men (€ 279.90). The features of this Swiss-made watch include a stainless steel case, toughened mineral crystal and a black open-work calfskin band. The bezel incorporates a tachymeter scale and the inner rotating ring offers 60-minute counting functionality. Applied indices and luminous hands are in black, with PETRONAS green highlights adding a distinctive touch to the second hand, for example. The quartz chronograph is waterproof to 10 ATM and measures 45 mm in diameter.

The DTM – the most popular touring car series – has been around for 30 years now. Mercedes-Benz has been a regular name on the winners’ podium for almost as long. Since it officially took up an involvement in the DTM in 1988, Mercedes-Benz has won more championships than any other manufacturer. The new DTM season will get underway at the Hockenheimring on the 4th May.

Since its founding in 1886, the automobile’s performance potential and reliability have been put to the test time and time again in countless competitions. Right from the very early days, vehicles from Daimler and Benz were taking part in all notable events in Europe as well as in other countries around the world. In 1894 the winning vehicles in the Paris–Rouen and Paris–Bordeaux–Paris races owed their success to the “Système Daimler” two-cylinder engine.
New items among the Motorsport Accessories for fans of Mercedes-Benz’s motorsport history include the Cap in 100 percent cotton (€ 23.90). The bill is chequered underneath and sports embroidered laurels on top. A stitch featuring the historical Mercedes lettering adorns the rear. The men’s cap comes in grey with green details. The women’s model additionally boasts rhinestones and comes in white with green details.
There is a choice of three Polo Shirts in 100 percent cotton piqué. The black & white porcelain cups are adorned with print depicting historical motorsport motifs from the Silver Arrows’ 1914 triple victory in Lyon and the 1954 double victory in Reims.
