The one-of-a-kind Test-Drive Style campaign will include a nationwide consumer promotion offering fashion fans a chance to win a new Ford Fusion

Ford and Rent the Runway are joining forces to make great style accessible on and off the road to fashion fans across the country. Through the Test-Drive Style campaign, Ford and the premier destination for designer fashion and accessory rentals will give consumers an opportunity to test out their must-have designer looks, along with a chance to win their very own stylish new drive – the Ford Fusion.

“Fusion continues to raise the bar in the competitive midsize car segment, offering consumers a class-leading package of aspirational design, fuel efficiency and smart technology – this includes our savvy female car buyer,” said Amy Marentic, Ford group marketing manager.

“With Rent the Runway’s affordable and accessible designer fashion and Fusion’s stunning design and smart technologies, we are joining forces to make great style available and seamless to the woman on the go,” Marentic added.

Designer fashion a click away

Founded by Harvard Business School classmates and friends Jennifer Hyman and Jennifer Fleiss, Rent the Runway is a fashion destination for the “go-getter girl” – a woman who is constantly on the move and looking for solutions that are accessible but don’t fall short on style or quality. With more than 50,000 designer dresses and accessories, Rent the Runway is the ultimate dream closet that grants women everywhere access to high-end styles for a fraction of the retail price.

From February through June, Ford and Rent the Runway will offer fashion fans the chance to win the ultimate style prize – a brand-new Ford Fusion and a $1,000 gift card for Rent the Runway’s dream closet full of designer dresses and accessories. To participate, fans will be asked to visit www.renttherunway.com/fordfusion to register for the promotion.

To support the nationwide consumer promotion, Ford and Rent the Runway will take to the streets of fashion-savvy New York and Los Angeles in the spring. The Test-Drive Style pop-ups will give consumers the opportunity to choose their must-have designer looks and register for the promotion. The stylish Ford Fusion will be on display.

Power of choice

Fusion continues to exceed expectations, providing midsize car customers a class-leading package of stunning design, fuel efficiency and smart technologies.

The 2014 Fusion will offer customers the choice between six powertrains, including the new fuel-efficient 1.5-liter EcoBoost® engine. The car will be equipped with even more available driver-assist technologies, features often found only in luxury vehicles, including Intelligent Access with push-button start, a heated steering wheel, a 10-way cooled and heated power front passenger seat and rear inflatable safety belts – all working together to make the drive more enjoyable and convenient.

The new Ford Fusion will be available in two new exterior colors in line with this year’s forecasted trends – Darkside and Sunset metallic paints. Fusion will also feature new interior leather color packages in medium soft ceramic and a stylish red on the Titanium series level.
