Team Ford Racing is eagerly anticipating this weekend’s Bridgestone Production Car event set to take place at Killarney Race Circuit in Cape Town. The outing marks round two of this year’s national championship and is sure to be a crowd thriller.

With a podium place already in the bag, Ford Focus ST pilots Gary Formato and Shaun Duminy will be aiming to impress in the ultra competitive Class T battle. While Formato proved to be a threat at the previous round, Duminy is looking forward to his debut in the second Focus ST.

“At the previous outing we decided to focus on getting one car ready rather than rushing to get both on track. The decision paid off and Gary enjoyed a very successful debut,” explains Duminy. “We’ve been working flat out since then and have made great progress on both cars. We’ve been testing and have managed to set some very competitive times so we are looking forward to surprising a few people at Killarney.”

Teammate Gary is similarly optimistic. “We were thrilled with the results we achieved at Kyalami but we expect to be even more competitive this time out.”

With both Ford Focus ST’s ready and rearing to go, the Class T field will look even more impressive with an ever increasing number of turbo-charged hot-hatches making up the field.

“Class T is extremely competitive but we are confident that if the cars experience no problems we’ll be in a good position to challenge for victory,” concludes Formato.
