Modena, 12 November 2013 – Maserati has achieved its production target of 10 000 units at the Avv. Giovanni Agnelli plant in Grugliasco (Turin) today.
The plant which was opened on 30 January this year is Maserati’s second manufacturing facility (in addition to the historic plant in Modena) and is the production site for the company’s two new luxury sports sedans: Quattroporte and Ghibli.
Production at the plant has been increased by way of 2 work shifts per day and is now capable of a daily output of 140 vehicles. Since the start of production, which coincided with the unveiling of the new Quattroporte, the plant has produced 8200 units of the Maserati flagship model. The Ghibli went into production at the end of July this year and 1800 units have since come off the line.
