20thAugust 2012. Ferrari North Europe will once again be undertaking a major charitable initiative to brighten the lives of disabled, disadvantaged and seriously ill children. Now in its third successful year, the Ferrari Experience, held at the world famous Silverstone Circuit, has become the cornerstone of Ferrari’s CSR programme in the UK.

On Friday 14th September, 50 children from across the UK will each experience the thrill of being driven around Silverstone’s Stowe racing circuit in a Ferrari California.

The event is being held in conjunction with two leading charities: Variety the Children’s Charity, which ensures that sick, disabled and disadvantaged children and young people benefit from positive childhood experiences, and BEN, the automotive industry charity which provides care, financial help, emotional support and advice for those who work or have worked in the automotive industry.

While each child takes part in a thrilling 15-minute passenger ride, their families will enjoy a programme of entertainment within the Stowe Complex. They will also have the chance to mingle with the celebrity attendees.

Matteo Torre, Ferrari North Europe’s Regional Manager, commented: “We are delighted that another group of deserving children will have the opportunity to share in the excitement of riding in a Ferrari California. Once more we must extend a huge thank you to our partners who are again donating their time and energy in order to make the day an unforgettable one.”
