ESSEX CRICKET CAPTAIN CHOOSES A HIGH-TECH FORD FOCUS FOR 2012

Brentwood, Essex, 5 April, 2012 – Former England cricket star and current Essex team captain, James Foster, has chosen a new high-tech, 125PS l.0-litre EcoBoost Ford Focus for the new season. Alastair Cook, England ODI cricket captain and Essex player, and Graham Gooch, England and Essex County Cricket Club (ECCC) coach, have also chosen new Ford models.

Anthony Ireson, Ford of Britain marketing director, said: "In an important sporting year for the UK, Ford is happy to continue its partnership with the game of cricket and we are pleased to extend this relationship with the Essex County Cricket Club and its players."

Ford is confirming its ongoing sponsorship of the Essex County Cricket Ground in Chelmsford, which will continue to be called the Ford County Ground. Ford is the county's largest private employer with the majority of Ford's 12,000 UK employees based at facilities in Essex.  Ford has sponsored Essex County Cricket Club's home ground since 2005.
