Whitley, Coventry 17 February 2014) – Jaguar UK received two awards at this year’s Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Marketing Excellence Awards, in recognition of the ‘Your Turn Britain’ campaign created for the launch of the new Jaguar F-TYPE.
Your Turn Britain picked up the top spot in both the categories for which it was shortlisted: Best Automotive/Transport Campaign and Social Media Campaign of the Year. Both categories were hotly contested, with Jaguar successful versus brands including HSBC, Volkswagen and Haslimann Taylor.
Jaguar UK launched Your Turn Britain in the summer of 2013, working with global social media agency We Are Social and The Brooklyn Brothers. The socially-led campaign celebrated the best of modern Britain, while promoting the product and design attributes of the new Jaguar F-TYPE sports car.
Jaguar UK Marketing Director, Ken Forbes said: “We’re delighted with the recognition Your Turn Britain has received. It had social media at its heart – a very modern campaign that positioned and celebrated the F-TYPE as a new modern British icon. By inspiring and engaging with the UK population, we were able to run a campaign that successfully and credibly appealed to a modern British audience.”
