Today Google South Africa is featuring their Doodle 4 Google 2014 South African Winner Google Doodle. The Doodle shows a South African Sunset with animals walking freely around without the fear of being killed for their ivory or the Rhino for his horns.

Katya Ludick is the first winner of the Doodle 4 Google South African Competition and is from the Noordheuwel High school in Krugersdorp.

The title of the Doodle is “My Conservation Dream” and received 6349 votes.

“SA Flag is proudly represented in the Google letters. The reflection symbolises 20 years of freedom. In my South African dream there is no more poaching. We must fight for those that can’t speak. Conservation is our future.” – Katya Ludick

This was the first time the Doodle 4 Google Competition was open to South African Students and something awesome to put in your Curriculum Vitae if you are one of the Winners of the competition.

The Doodle 4 Google judges were John van de Ruit, DJ Fresh, Seth Rotherham, Pat Lambie, Graham Jenneker, Sven Ruygrok, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Ryan Germick and Miller M Matola.

The Competition Winner will have his or her doodle featured on the Google South Africa homepage. He or she will be awarded a R100,000 technical grant for their school, an Android tablet, R500 Google Play voucher, a framed copy of his or her doodle, a t-shirt printed with his or her doodle on it and a Google goodie bag.
