Air1 returns to CV Show
Air1 will be at the CV Show with the latest AdBlue bulk and packaged products. Representatives from the Air1 team will answer questions regarding AdBlue and its associated packages and promote the Air1 App.
In 2011, Air1 launched the first AdBlue mobile locator application for Android and Apple mobile devices. The Air1 AdBlue App from Yara provides quick and reliable information on the closest AdBlue retail outlets and uses GPS technology to identify the filling station closest to a driver’s location.
Visitors to Air1’s stand can receive a free touch screen pen (while stocks last) by downloading the Air1App and discussing their AdBlue requirements.
Trakm8 to launch driver behaviour feedback module
Trakm8 will launch its driver behaviour module at CV Show 2012. This module can be used to improve operational fleet fuel efficiencies with either of Trakm8’s tracking units, the T8 and the recently launched T8 mini.
The module is situated on the dash and gives the driver visual feedback through Red-Amber-Green traffic light indicators that show their driving style in real time; highlighting areas for safer, more fuel-efficient driving including braking and acceleration, cornering, over revving, idling and speeding.
The information is fed directly to the driver and in a customised report to fleet managers. By making subtle changes to driving styles and behaviour, Trakm8 customers have reported significant improvements in fuel usage and cost-reduction.
Nissan to reveal NV400 chassis cab range and new vehicle bodybuilder strategy
Nissan will give operators an exclusive preview of its new NV400 chassis cab range at the CV Show. A mid- and long-wheelbase NV400 chassis cab with both front and rear-wheel-drive will be launched with two factory-built vehicles and a Nissan Good To Go range of conversions.
Two engine options of 125hp and 150hp will be available with a total of 13 variants, including single and double cab versions. The factory-built conversions initially comprise a dropside and tipper, which are built on the production line and will be delivered to the operator. The Good To Go range includes a box van, Luton and fridge van, as well as a combi and minibus option built by UK converters handpicked by Nissan and sold by dealers to operators as a complete vehicle.
Nissan’s factory built and Good To Go approach guarantees that operators receive a fully-approved conversion complete with manufacturer warranty, making it easier than buying a manufacturer’s chassis cab which is then converted by an external supplier.
Ratcliff Palfinger’s tail lifts
Leading tail lift manufacturer, Ratcliff Palfinger, will show a range of tail lifts suitable for commercial vehicles. Paul Addis, Managing Director, says that Ratcliff Palfinger is committed to product innovation and operator safety.
At this year’s CV Show the company will be paying particular attention to the safety features and applications available, greatly reducing the risk of injury to operators. The tail lifts on display will include important new features that allow greater functionality to the tail lift whilst in operation.
Spraydown Solutions offers a self-funding safety enhancement
Spraydown Solutions offers CV Show visitors the opportunity to learn about its unique and rigorously tested spray suppression solutions for heavy trucks which, the company claims, provide a safer driving experience for the truck driver and other motorists.
The patented design of Spraydown replaces standard mud flaps on trucks and trailers, offering unsurpassed results in spray reduction while reducing overall drag on the vehicle by stabilising airflow previously disrupted by conventional flaps.
The product has been widely tested and results show a superior reduction in spray from the vehicle in inclement weather. The reduction in air disruption has also consistently demonstrated net fuel savings of 1.5 to 2.5% on a fully equipped vehicle.
Free industry seminars at CV Show 2012
Free daily seminars on some of the hottest topics in the commercial vehicle industry will be run by Bridgestone from its stand at this year’s CV Show.
For the first time, visitors can get advice and join the debate on wheel security (cost and consequences), the future of fuel efficiency and how to save money through improving tyre maintenance. Visitors to the stand will also find information on Truck Point, the company’s fleet service provision, and its entire range of new and retread tyres.
John Folliss, Bridgestone’s Commercial Sales and Marketing Director, said, “These seminars have been specially created as part of our drive to help fleets reduce costs and improve efficiencies. They cover some of the biggest issues facing the industry over the next 12-18 months”.

The pick-up also introduces a new ‘shift-on-the-fly’ system, allowing the driver to adjust between two- and four-wheel-drive modes while travelling at speeds of up to 60mph. It has a three-tonne (braked) towing capacity and a payload capacity of 1,000kg.
Model view of commercial motors
Search Impex, the UK’s leading independent supplier of customised scale model vehicles for corporate promotional use, will be at the CV Show. The company supplies many of the UK’s leading hauliers and commercial fleet operators with vehicles that perfectly represent their brands - in miniature.
Examples of models that the company has produced over the past 12 months will be on show, including fridge trailers, curtain trailers, rigid trucks, low loaders and heavy haulage rigs as 1:43, 1:50 and 1:87 scale models

Pioneer’s integrated head units reach a new level in 2012
Pioneer is pleased to announce the company will be at this year’s CV Show which, it feels, is a great platform to source, sell and meet key influencers in the commercial vehicle industry.
Pioneer will showcase a selection of its 2012 models, with exclusive viewing of a selection of new releases to its AppRadio and AVIC Navigation range.
Two head units are the AVH-6300BT and AVH-2400BT. These two Double DIN Audio and Video multimedia receivers are packed with features, including Bluetooth connectivity, optional navigation and broad connectivity access for personal devices like smartphones or direct source devices such as a USB.
Squarell Technology’s new advanced telematics
Squarell Technology will present its new range of advanced telematics products at the CV Show. These are now available from its 250 partners in 30 countries.
Field tests of its revolutionary Driver Awareness Panel have documented returns of between 8%-14% improvement in mpg. The device has state of the art algorithms that respond live to indicate how the vehicle is being driven. Its intelligent IT sets its own parameters, based on automatically detecting the driving style of the driver within a few miles.
Squarell will also announce a first for GPS modem manufacturers, offering the opportunity them to put its proven technology inside their tracking device, creating a one box solution, or in a dongle format.
Vauxhall vans at the CV Show
Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles will display its full model range at CV Show 2012, including Movano, Vivaro, New Combo, Astravan and Corsavan.
New Combo will make its UK show debut and will be shown in all three wheelbase and roof height combinations. With a payload of up to one tonne and a driving range of up to 777 miles, thanks to its frugal engines, New Combo has already proved that it is a great proposition for van operators.
Vauxhall is the number one van manufacturer in the UK and was also number one in the van retail sector in 2011. Underpinning its success has been Vivaro and to celebrate, a stylish new addition to the range will be on the CV Show stand.
The Movano range will also play a key role in Vauxhall’s display with panel vans, passenger carriers (in nine-seat Combi and 17-seat Minibus configurations) and the new factory-finished core conversions including Tipper and Dropside. All core conversions come with Vauxhall’s three-year or 100,000-mile warranty on both the chassis and conversion.
New DFSK mini van model’s European première at the CV Show
DFSK announces the European première of a new model at the CV Show. The new Loadhopper V Series range will be introduced to the UK market through DFSK’s 30-strong countrywide dealer network from Autumn 2012 and be offered alongside current Loadhopper models.
The Loadhopper V Series will incorporate a van as well as single- and double-cab pickups. The vehicles are 15%-30% larger than the existing Loadhopper models and offer increased load capacity and flexibility for the commercial vehicle operator seeking a small van to work within the confines of an urban or rural environment.
Bart Raats, DFSK UK’s Managing Director, said, “The Loadhopper V Series is an exciting addition to the UK minivan market and will perfectly complement the current Loadhopper range”.
