‘CITROËN VANS - BUSINESS CLASS’ AT THE HEART OF ANOTHER AWARD-WINNING YEAR FOR CITROËN LCVS
The ‘Citroën Vans - Business Class’ programme has been at the heart of Citroën’s LCV 2011 success in winning a range of prestigious awards. The innovation and success of this comprehensive programme, which involves Citroën’s people, products and services - and focuses on delivering an outstanding level of customer service - has recently been recognised with the 2012 What Van? Innovation Award.
As part of ‘Citroën Vans - Business Class’, Citroën launched its ‘5 Star’ Euro 5 programme, which has delivered LCV fuel efficiency improvements of up to 19% and CO2 reductions of up to 17.5%. The Citroën ‘5 Star’ Euro 5 programme also includes the new e-HDi 90 Berlingo vans, incorporating the advanced Airdream micro-hybrid powertrain with Stop & Start technology and the availability of Citroën’s automated manual EGS gearbox.
The ‘5 Star’ Euro 5 programme was a major contributing factor in Citroën winning the prestigious 2011 GreenFleet LCV Manufacturer of the Year Award for an unprecedented third year, against very strong competition. The fuel efficient, low emissions performance of the Citroën LCV range was further recognised with the 2011 Van Fleet World Honours Environmental Award. This accolade recognised the Citroën LCV range as one of the greenest and cleanest available in the UK - with low CO2 emissions from just 109g/km and exceptional combined cycle fuel efficiency of up to 68.9mpg.
A further 2011 development within the ‘Citroën Vans - Business Class’ programme was the continuing improvement and expansion of the Citroën Ready to Run range. This has seen Ready to Run - the UK’s most comprehensive special bodied vehicle programme - gain the 2012What Van? One-Stop-Shop Award for the fifth year in succession.
