- ‘2.59 @ Old Trafford’ video contest to capture the football fan spirit one minute before kick-off
- Grand prize of £8,000 and an exclusive trip for two to London
Zurich. For this year’s MOFILM London video contest, Chevrolet and MOFILM, a global creative community, are now calling on budding filmmakers around the world to expose one of the most passionately shared moments for any fan worldwide: They are challenging them to capture in a 60-second short film the excitement and explosive energy building among fans all over the planet in that last minute before kick-off on a Saturday at 2.59 p.m. GMT at Old Trafford, whether they are watching at the game in the stadium, in a bar or at home.
Earlier this year, Chevrolet teamed up with U.K. Premiere League football club Manchester United, becoming their Official Automotive Sponsor. Manchester United is one of the world’s biggest and best-supported sports teams with hundreds of millions of fans around the world.
“With our new partnership with Manchester United, we are bringing fans closer to the game,” said Beate Stumpe, Director, Brand & Marketing of Chevrolet Europe. “We are very much looking forward to see how young filmmakers portray the pulsating anticipation felt by supporters in that one minute before the match starts.”
The grand prize winner will be rewarded with $8,000 and an exclusive trip for two to London.
To enter the competition, participants can sign up to download a brief from Chevrolet on the Mofilm website. The deadline for video submissions is 12:00 noon GMT, October 1, 2012. The award ceremony will be held from October 23 – 25 in London.
