Stuttgart. In the “Imageprofile 2012” study conducted by the “Manager Magazin” business magazine, Bosch has been crowned the winner in the industry category. The technology and services provider also climbed to fifth in the overall ranking of the most respected companies, up from eleventh spot in 2008.

Bosch scored particularly highly in the categories “sound finances” and “innovative strength.” In the sustainability category, it was voted the best company. In other words, the executives polled for the survey recognised the company’s dedicated efforts to balance economic, social, and ecological concerns in its business operations.

“We are delighted to be rated as the most respected industrial company and to have made it into the top five in the overall ranking. The results show that the values we consistently live by in the company also have a positive impact on our external image,” said Franz Fehrenbach, chairman of the board of management of the Bosch Group.

This is the 16th time that “Manager Magazin” has assessed the reputation and image of Germany’s top companies. The 2012 survey assesses 170 companies from ten different industries, including DAX-listed companies, the leading German family-owned businesses, and major global branded companies. The survey polled 4,050 decision-makers working in their companies’ first and second management tiers.
