Ayrton Senna Google Doodle

    Ayrton Senna Google Doodle

One of the most famous and legendary Formula One Racing Drivers gets his own Google Doodle. On the 21 March 2014 Google celebrated and honored the Racing Car Driver Ayrton Senna with a Google Doodle.

The Doodler who have created the Ayrton Senna Google Doodle have gone to great lengths researching the 3 time formula one world champion history and legacy and tried to incorporate some of the most notable elements of Ayrton Senna’s legacy and racing career into the doodle.

Anyone who knew Ayrton Senna or who have seen him race, would likely remember the distinct markings on his racing helmet. These marks on his racing helmet were copied into the background of today’s doodle to form part of the “Ayrton Senna” doodle.

Ayrton Senna da Silva was a Brazilian racing driver who won three Formula One world championships. He was very proud to be Brazilian, and when the Brazilian Soccer committee lost their bid to host the World Cup Soccer in Brazil, two days later Ayrton Senna won a Grand Prix and drove an extra lap waving the Brazilian Flag. This turned into a tradition and when ever he won a grand prix he did a victory lap waving the Brazilian Flag.

Ayrton Senna died much in the same way as he lived, he was killed in an accident while leading the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. Today he is still regarded as one of the all time Best Formula One drivers to ever hit the racing track!

Here at 3D Car Shows we love today’s Google Doodle not only because it is related to the Automotive Industry and Formula One Cars, but mainly because Ayrton Senna was a legend for us! When thinking Grand Prix Legends and Formula One car drivers it is hard not to think of Ayrton Senna!
