Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. is a Chinese state-owned automobile manufacturer founded in 1997 and based in Wuhu, Anhui Province, China. It is one of the largest vehicle manufacturers in China and the country’s largest passenger car exporter. Chery offers a range of vehicles, including compact and subcompact cars, SUVs, and MPVs. The company has formed partnerships with foreign automakers such as Jaguar Land Rover and has established joint ventures with firms such as Israel Corporation and Qoros Automotive. Chery’s exports have been primarily focused on developing markets in Asia, the Middle East, South America, and Africa.
