The UK’s Audi Centres maintain some of the World’s most sophisticated and advanced automotive technology on a daily basis, but what is often forgotten is that they can also handle basic necessities such as tyre fitting just as adeptly, and very competitively, as a new online quotation tool is proving.
Audi online tyre quotation, which can be found at audi.co.uk/tyres, enables customers to quickly and easily obtain a fully fitted cost for replacement tyres. They are able to search using their specific registration, the model name or the tyre size required. Results can then be sorted based on the tyre manufacturer, the price or the wheel size.
Once a tyre or set of tyres is selected, a quote is generated that is valid for 15 days, and can be presented to any Audi Centre or Audi Authorised Repairer. The quoted price includes VAT, fitting, new valves, balancing and environmentally considerate disposal of the outgoing tyres.
Audi Centres and Audi Authorised Repairers have extensive experience of sourcing and fitting tyres cost effectively. During March, their tyre quotes were on average 4% cheaper than the leading national online tyre supplier on a like-for-like basis, i.e comparing the same brand, size and specification, and including all ancillary charges.
As an example, a Goodyear 225/45 R17 tyre for a 17-inch A3 alloy wheel would cost £152 including fitting if purchased from the leading online tyre supplier, and £134.70 including fitting if sourced from an Audi Centre.
Competitive fixed prices
Tyres are just one area in which Audi UK is striving to dispel the preconceived idea that unrivalled Audi Centre technical expertise always comes at a higher price than an independent repairer. Audi Centres can, for example, also offer fixed, all-inclusive prices for the seven most frequently required service and maintenance jobs for owners of any Audi over 36 months old and with an engine capacity of up to 2.0-litres. These include major and minor services, clutch replacement, front and rear brake pad and disc replacement, front wiper blade replacement, brake fluid change and cambelt replacement. The cost of a major service is fixed at £299, and the interim service is priced at £149.
The Audi Complete package takes this concept even further by not only including service and maintenance but also the first MOT and a warranty extension to 5 years or 90,000 miles. It is available at the point of sale for all new Audi models for a one-off or fixed monthly fee, and can also be extended to cover tyres.
