Audi Silver Arrow Awards Dealership Awards South Africa
The ‘Audi Silver Arrow Awards’ is a Dealer incentive and awards programme that recognises outstanding performance in the South African Audi Dealer network and set the standard by which all Audi Dealerships are measured. The business pillars that are evaluated during this process are New and Pre-owned sales, Customer satisfaction, Parts sales, and Audi Financial Services market share.
The ‘Silver Arrow’ racing cars date back to the 1930’s when they dominated the legendary racing circuits of Europe. Through their many years of success, the Silver Arrows are remembered for their prioneering and brave motorsport spirit. This racing era represents the pinnacle of excellence for Audi and it is with this legendary spirit which Audi Dealers are measured and rewarded in the ‘Audi Silver Arrow Awards.’
The elegant Awards function was held at the Sandton Convention Centre on the 8th of May 2014. The theme of the evening focussed on “Breaking Boundaries.” The audience was treated to the musical delight of South African songstress and Audi Ambassador, Chiano Sky, as well as South African afro-pop band and 2014 South African Music Award winners, Mafikizolo.
Among the award winners, the Avus Award category recognises Dealer Principals of the best performing Dealerships according to strict criteria, as well as Dealer of the Year, Dealer Group of the Year and the Vorsprung Customer award.

Audi Dealer of the Year: Audi Centre Centurion
There are two ‘Dealer Group of the Year’ awards recognising macro and micro Dealer Groups within the Audi Dealer network. A macro Group is a Dealer Group which owns a minimum of three Audi Dealerships, of which two must be Audi Centres. A micro Group is a Dealer Group with a maximum of two Audi Dealerships, of which one must be an Audi Centre.
The macro ‘Dealer Group of the Year’ was this year awarded to the Barloworld Group under the leadership of Graeme Sholto-Douglas. The Barloworld Group own five Audi Dealerships, including Audi Centre Cape Town, Audi Centre N1, Audi Centre Pietermaritzburg, Audi Centre Bruma and Audi Gaborone in Botswana.
The micro ‘Dealer Group of the Year’ was awarded to the Hatfield Motor Group under the leadership of Brad Kaftel, the owner of Audi Centre Hatfield and Audi Centre Rivonia. This is the third consecutive year that Hatfield Motor Group has been recognised as the micro ‘Dealer Group of the Year’. Karl Lessle as Audi Franchise Director accepted the award on behalf of the Hatfield Group.
The final award in the Avus category is the ‘Vorsprung Award’, this year awarded to Dealer Principal Jannie van den Heever of Audi Centre Bloemfontein. The Vorsprung Award recognises those Dealers in the network that have achieved the highest combined Customer satisfaction score (New, Pre-owned, Fixed Right First Time and After Sales).
