SupercrossANAHEIM, Calif. (Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012) – Kyle Partridge and Josh Hansen led Team Dodge to its fifth-consecutive Main Event of the season at Saturday night’s AMA Monster Energy Supercross Series event at Angel Stadium.

Unfortunately for the Hart and Huntington riders, their Heat race success did not transfer to the Main Event. Partridge earned Team Dodge a 16th-place finish while Hansen sustained a broken front brake in a mishap on lap one and finished 20th.

Partridge (No. 83 Dodge/Sycuan Casino/Hart and Huntington/Bel-Ray Racing Kawasaki) used a strong Heat race performance to start 11th in the Main Event. He rode inside the top 10 through the first half of the race, but slowed over the final 10 laps.

“The Heat race was good,” said Hansen. “I had a good start in the Heat race on the No. 83 Dodge/Sycuan Casino/Hart and Huntington/Bel-Ray Racing Kawasaki. I almost got the holeshot. I ended up sixth in the Heat and rode a really good race.

“I went into the Main and didn’t have that great of a start. On the first lap, a bunch of guys went down. I was running in about 11th or 12th until lap eight or nine and just buckled a bit. I didn’t ride like I needed to the last 10 laps. I made too many mistakes and rode too tight. No excuses. The bike was good. I just need to go back to work on Monday and keep trying to get better.”

Hansen (No. 100 Dodge/Sycuan Casino/Hart and Huntington/Bel-Ray Racing Kawasaki) was slowed to a 20th-place finish after getting collected on Lap 1 of the 20-lap Main Event. Hansen dropped four positions in the rider standing. He’s now 12th.

Teammates Ivan Tedesco and Josh Hill remained sidelined due to injuries sustained earlier in the season.
