TOUR DE FRANCE LEADER DRIVES SUBARU OUTBACK ON HOME TURF
- Daryl Impey returns home to take on Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge for charity
- Subaru Southern Africa joins forces with funds and vehicle sponsorship
South African cyclist Daryl Impey, who painted the nation’s name all over the 2013 running of the Tour de France, has returned home after his 2013 international season to tackle the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge as a fund raising event for local charity, Teddy Bear Clinic. Having sponsored funds towards his efforts, Subaru Southern Africa has also provided Impey with a Subaru Outback Diesel CVT. Having won the second stage of the 2013 Tour de France and subsequently worn the yellow leader’s jersey through stages six and seven as well, Impey continues Subaru Southern Africa’s ties to cycling after Robbie Hunter made use of the all-new Subaru Forester during the Mzansi Tour, earlier in the year.
Comments Subaru Southern Africa Marketing Manager, Ashley Lazarus: “Charity is something that touches the hearts and minds of everyone and every little bit counts. We are only too proud to be associated with Daryl in this regard and are certain that the funds he raises for Teddy Bear Clinic will be put to good use. We also wish him the very best of luck for the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge this weekend!”
