RML celebrates triple success in the FIA World Touring Car Driver and Constructor Championships and launches new website
On Sunday Rob Huff sealed the FIA 2012 World Touring Car Drivers’ Championship at Macau in a hard fought final round against his RML team mates Alain Menu and Yvann Muller. This is the third consecutive WTCC Drivers’ Championship that RML has won together with the third consecutive WTCC Manufacturers’ Championship for Chevrolet, which was secured two rounds previously in Japan.
In the process RML set another record for Chevrolet for 2012, being the first constructor in the WTCC to pass 1,000-points in a single season. In total over the course of the last eight years, RML has scored a record breaking 68 race wins and 36 pole positions in the WTCC for Chevrolet, making this the most successful partnership in the history of the Championship.
This latest Championship success adds another chapter to RML’s winning history and coincides with the launch of a new RML Group website rmlmallock.com. The new website showcases RML’s expertise in delivering ‘turn-key’ Touring Car, GT, Prototype Sports Car and Rallying programmes in major motorsport series for global automotive brands.
