It is that time of the year again and the South African Air force is once again playing host of the premiere South African Air Show. The 2014 African Aerospace and Defense expo is taking place on Saturday, 20 September 2014 and Sunday the 21st September 2014 at the Waterkloof Air force base in Pretoria, South Africa.
When does the Waterkloof Air Show start?
The Waterkloof Airshow is on this weekend 20 – 21 September 2014. The gates open at 6am and closes at 6pm. The show takes place at the Pretoria Air Force Base Waterkloof. Parking at the Air Show will be provided for free by the Waterkloof Air Force base, and it is advised that you get to the show as early as possible to ensure that you get prime parking space and to avoid the traffic.
How much does the Pretoria Air Show tickets cost?
Tickets to the Pretoria Air Show cost R70.00 for adults and R60 for pensioners. Children under the age of 12 also pay R60.00. Tickets are available at the Waterkloof Air Force gates and also from Computicket.
Africa Aerospace and Defence Airshow and Defence Exhibition is open to the public.
The AIRSHOW comprising of a world class air demonstration, mobility track demonstrations, parachute drops, aerobatic displays and many other static displays from some of the biggest names in aviation and defence industry who will demonstrate their latest and greatest aircrafts.
There will also be organised children’s activities and attraction including a Youth Development Program will be staged in a dedicated Pavilion with a fun fly park where the youth will have interactive activities, such as plastic model building, virtual aviation, simulator, target shooting, and first-aid and crime scene investigation.

The Waterkloof Air Show is one of the highlights in the South African Aerospace and Defense calendar. It is also extremely popular with families and attracts thousands of people every second year when the show is on!
The Aviation Authorities usually go out of their way, to provide spectacular aerobatics and air plane performances.
The Waterkloof Bi-annual Airshow also offer photographers and photography enthusiast the ideal opportunity to take photographs, and opportunity to practice their fast moving photo skills.
