Customers at Motorpoint, the UK’s leading car supermarket, are hailing the work of UK car manufacturers after a poll on motorpoint.co.uk showed that 62% of customers are more likely to buy a vehicle if it is ‘Made in Britain’.
Motorpoint polled almost 3,000 customers on motorpoint.co.uk and found over half are more likely to buy a car if it was ‘Made in Britain’. As a result, Motorpoint predict that UK roads will be occupied by more British-built cars such as their 11 Honda Civic 1.4 i-VTEC type S 3dr i-Shift. One particular 61 plate Honda has under 4,000 miles on the clock, a silver metallic paint finish and is available for £10,699 – a saving of £6,074*.
Of over 3,000 vehicles on motorpoint.co.uk, increasingly more are made in Britain. This UK built 12 plate Jaguar XF 2.2d Luxury 4DR Auto has under 5,000 miles on the clock and is finished in blue metallic paint with Sat. Nav., climate control and 17” alloys fitted as standard, all for just £27,999 giving a saving of £6,308*.
There are also a number of 10 plate Nissan Micra 1.2 80 Visia 3DR on offer. One with under 18,000 miles on the clock and finished in silver metallic paint is available for £4,999 – a saving of £3,676*.
Says David Shelton, Motorpoint’s Managing Director: “Our poll shows that UK motorists have trust in, and want to support British car production, so it’s increasingly important to offer cars manufactured in the UK.”
