Call centre volunteers get ready to take telephone pledges on 18th November
Roadside assistance and warranty expert, Mondial Assistance UK, is joining the motor industry in lending its support to Children in Need 2011. Nearly 100 staff will be manning the phones in its call centre in a bid to take even more pledges than it achieved last year.
As with previous years, there will be high spirits and stiff competition as employees work hard to be the evening’s most successful fund raiser – the number of pledges and the value of pledges are logged per volunteer and the respective winners recognised by all that take part.
Staff who take part will be entertained throughout the evening by Senior Management who notoriously enter in the spirit of the occasion with the help of fancy dress. A magician and face painter will also be doing the rounds to put a smile on everyone’s face. Local businesses are getting behind Mondial’s fund raising efforts too by donating gifts for a goodie bag for each of the volunteers, including snacks and treats from Nestle, Options Hot Chocolate and Crystal Palace Football Club.
“We had an early visit from Pudsey Bear, who came to Mondial House to recruit volunteers for our donation call room and the excitement is well and truly building. We are looking forward to another fantastic night of activity for Children in Need,” says Lee Taylor, Automotive Director of Mondial Assistance in the UK. “A visit to local children’s charity Home Start, showed us the real difference the money we raised last year, has made. We are delighted to be able to support Children in Need and the fantastic work it does. This event has become a highlight on the Mondial Assistance calendar, with overwhelming enthusiasm and commitment from our staff, who pull out all the stops and this year we hope to take more pledges than ever.”
