CONCOURS OF ELEGANCE APPOINTS INFLUENCE ASSOCIATES TO MANAGE ITS PRESS AND PR
Soho Square, London, 23 January 2014: Thorough Events Ltd – the organisers of the award-winning Concours of Elegance – has appointed Influence Associates to handle all of its Press and PR activities for this world-class annual vehicle concours event.
Uniquely held each year within the historical setting of a Royal Palace, this year’s spectacular Royal venue for the third staging of the Concours of Elegance (5-7 September) will be announced shortly.
Since its inception in 2012, Thorough Events has held the Concours of Elegance to notable acclaim within the private grounds of Windsor Castle in its inaugural year – to honour Her Majesty’s diamond jubilee – and at the St James’s Palace in 2013.
The Concours of Elegance annually gathers 60 of the rarest cars in the world, from around the world, with the majority of these exceptional vehicles never before seen in the UK. The Concours of Elegance is also a significant charity fund-raising event, with the 2013 St James’s Palace event donating over £250,000 across a number of good causes.
Influence Associates’ brief is to help reinforce the strong reputation of the Concours of Elegance as one of the most prestigious events of its type in the world. Influence Associates will manage all of the Press and PR activities for the Concours of Elegance, including the activation of the event’s sponsorships and partnerships across print and broadcast media, as well as maximising the event’s social media following with relevant and compelling content and promotion.
Thorough Events’ Managing Director, James Brooks-Ward, says: “After the huge success of our St James event in 2013, we set about identifying a key support agency that could help us to move up to the next level and broaden our reach in telling the story of our leadership in staging a concours event. With the vast experience and proven track record of the agency and its team, Influence Associates stood out as THE agency with the pedigree and knowledge to deliver for us. We are delighted to now have them on board as our appointed PR partner for 2014 and beyond.”
Stuart Dyble, CEO Influence Associates, says: “In just two short years the Thorough Events team has already established the annual Concours of Elegance as one of the most prestigious concours event in the world. With its significant charitable fund-raising, and its unique Royal Palace venue settings – supported by the Royal patronage of HRH Prince Michael of Kent – the Concours of Elegance has quickly become established as one of the most highly-regarded and iconic names in the global classic car event scene. It is a real privilege to support the Concours of Elegance team and help maximise the reach and reputation of this world-class event. The Concours of Elegance is a very prestigious addition to our ever-expanding client portfolio.”
With Influence Associates’ CEO Stuart Dyble at the helm, the in-house classic car team will be led by Gary Axon and his support team to manage the Concours of Elegance account, including PR, social media, marketing and promotional activities for September’s event throughout the year.
